As we move into the early months of summer season you start see more abundant crops as well as traditional summer crops. Baskets may still include Spring greens, but move into beans, peas, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, basil, onions, tomatoes, peppers, swiss chard and more. The summer share is very much ruled by the natural flow of our Utah growing season starting off with smaller amounts of produce in July, peaking with the heaviest harvest month in September then backing down again as we move into October.
Share quantities will vary each week, but you can plan on 7-9 different varieties of vegetables and usually one fruit. For large families consider two shares.
