Kombucha and Ferments-February 24th, 2022-6-8 pm
Course will cover how to make Kombucha, second ferments, using green vs black tea, adding flavors, and a tasting of several flavors. This course will demonstrate the entire process of making Kombucha plus give you the opportunity to taste several flavors of our kombucha. Kombucha kit and scoby is Included and our Kombucha book
In the Ferments section of this course you will learn why there is more to fermentation than probiotics, nutrient density and food preservation. It's all about the TASTE! You will learn how to make great tasting fermented foods that you will love incorporating into your diet. You will learn how easy it can be to make these nutrient dense and tasty fermented foods and have them on hand for a quick and easy meal. This is a course about lacto-fermentation and how to make it taste delicious. You will make sauerkraut in this course. You will get your hands in the cabbage and really get a feel for how easy it is to make this delicious fermented food. You will take home sauerkraut and our Ferments book.
Kids Cooking Series-3 Classes
Part 1-January 31st $20-Part 2- February 7th $20-Part 3-February 21st $20
Classes run from 6-7:30 pm on Thursday evenings. Each class will be different and will include the following topics, table setting and etiquette, homemade pasta making, homemade soft cheese, salad, breads and preparing a several course meal. Each class will build upon the last, but can be split into separate classes if desired. Space is limited but preference will be given to those enrolled in all 3 classes. Cured Sausage Made Easy-March 21st
You do not want to miss this class! Not only is cured/fermented sausage so delicious, but this class will take you through the entire process and make it easy for any home chef! If you have ever wanted to know how to make sopressata, salami, or other cured meats, now is your chance. Instructor Kent Forbush will share his expertise and knowledge on this topic. You will also get to taste several varieties of sausage. $50 per person
