Basic Home Cheesemaking, Cedar City, UT. $60 10am-1pm
This course covers basic cheese making skills, 4 cheeses including, mozzarella, mascarpone, ricotta, and cream cheese, tasting of Nature Hills Farm aged cheeses, information packet, cheese starter and rennet (so you can leave the class and make your own cheese right away!). This 3-hour course has gotten great reviews from participants and is a great way to get into home cheese making! We are also offering a course following this course on care for animals, see below.

Keeping a Family Cow or Goat, Cedar City, UT. $45
In this course you will learn the basics of owning and caring for a family cow or goat. You will learn valuable information that will help you if you ever purchase a cow or goat. This course will cover what to look for when purchasing a cow or goat, general care and vaccination information, breeding, milking, and caring for the calf or kid. We will also discuss the laws and restrictions for selling your milk and making cheese. We will offer this course following our Basic Cheesemaking course, see above for information and to register.
This is a 2-day course that will cover several cheeses as well as get into the hard cheese making process and a number of other topics.
Some of the cheese covered, Cheddar Cheese, Brie, Parmesan and Gouda(cheese may change slightly, I am trying to get a wide range of cheese types and skills involved covered in the 2-day course) & there may be a few surprise cheese additions as well.

The cost of the course will be $350 and will include your tuition, lunch and snacks both days as well as cheese tasting! There will also be written information, recipes and other information provided. To reserve your spot, complete the registration form attached and include a $150 deposit. I will not reserve a spot for anyone until I have the deposit, especially since space is limited.
